Damon and Carlton's Reactions to the 13 Emmy Nominations

Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, exec producers, "Lost"
Lindelof: "It sounds so cliche that it's great to be nominated but that's what we're basking in now. We don't take this for granted. And the fact that the love was spread to Michael Giacchino, Jack Bender, the sound mixers and art direction is great. It'll be cool to put on the monkey suits again and get together one last time."

Cuse: "My strategy is to sleep through these type of things. I checked my phone and saw there were a lot of emails. Bad news avoids you like the plague. … For Matthew (Fox) , he's labored almost unfairly on a show that's more ensemble-oriented than the guys he's competing aginst. Fortunately, the finale was Matthew-centric and he was finally given a chance to be front and center in such a way that allows voters to take notice. He was so critical to our show."

LOST Finale is Eligible for the Emmy's

LOST Finale is Eligible for the Emmy's

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Board of Governors on Wednesday made a rule exception that will have a direct impact on the May 23 finale of Lost. Past rules have indicated that extended length episodes can only run for two hours but Lost’s finale is scheduled to run for two and a half hours. The board will now grant eligibility to the drama’s series finale episode.

Similar exceptions have been made in the past for the series finales of The Wire and The Sopranos. “We have a soft spot in our hearts for the final episodes of long-running series,” says John Leverence, the TV Academy’s senior VP of awards.

The Lost finale can be submitted for consideration under any number of scenarios. A Lost star may use it to compete in one of the acting categories, while ABC Studios may use it to go after the best drama prize.

Terry O' Quinn Returns to Emmy Supporting Actor Race

So one of last year's biggest mysteries for the Emmy Awards was what happened to Terry O' Quinn. Apparently he did not submit his name because he felt that once you win you should be ineligible for some "time". His move opened the door for co-star Michael Emerson to take home the prize.

Well according to The Envelop O' Quinn says he will submit his name for this year's Supporting Actor category.

So will both Emerson and O' Quinn get nominated again? What about the great performances by Josh Holloway and of course Nestor Carbonell in Ab Aeterno?

TWoP Picks LOST as #1 Scripted Show of Decade!

I know there are awards and mentions, but I really think think that LOST being picked as the #1 Scripted show by the site Television Without Pity is a big honor for the show.

TWoP is one of the more well known TV sites and their forums are quite popular among TV fans.

So I really feel mentions like this are cool.

Michael Emerson Nominated for Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor

Congratulations to probably my favorite actor on LOST Michael Emerson for being nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in a Series!

Ever since Emerson was added to the Cast in Season 3 his creepy portrayal of Others Mastermind and Manipulator Benjamin Linus has been spot on and I have said many times that he deserves every award for his acting skills.

LOST 9 on Top 10 Shows of Decade from Hollywood Reporter

9. LOST - ABC, 2004-present

Part adventure, part mystery and part sci-fi, "Lost" defies convenient characterization. Supposedly conceived as a blend of "Lord of the Flies," "Survivor," "Gilligan's Island" and "Cast Away," the series developed a unique mythology and an unconventional rhythm that mixed stories of the present with those from the past and future. Creators Jeffrey Lieber, J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof created one of TV's biggest casts, then made each character utterly fascinating.

Lost Producers Shocked By Emmy Nominations

Lost's executive producers say the ABC drama collected its latest Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama Series in spite of — as well as because of — this past season's hyper-serialized, time-skipping narrative.

"We are very happy, and we are kind of shocked," Carlton Cuse told TVGuide.com. "Doing the time travel-heavy genre, we did not have any expectations that we would get nominated."

But Cuse and fellow exec producer Damon Lindelof say they are not surprised to see cast member Michael Emerson earn another nomination for his portrayal of the enigmatic Benjamin Linus.

"Michael has been such an amazing part of the show," says Cuse. "His performance, particularly in the episode 'The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham,' is spectacular."

This year the drama series category was expanded to six nominees, but a tie resulted in seven total contenders — five of them on cable. The crowded, formidable, and by-and-large edgier field only adds to the honor of being nominated, say the producers.

"The idea that we made it into the mix with the limitations of broadcast is pretty exciting to us," Lindelof says. Adds Cuse, "Dexter, Big Love, Breaking Bad... Those are shows we think are really well done."
