Karen Makes Local Hawaii Newspaper!
Hey All,
Of course for some reason if you do not know by now, ABC held a special LOST Season 6 Premiere Red Carpet party on the beach in Hawaii yesterday. The event was called Sunset on the Beach and several fans from ALL across the world including fellow bloggers, friends and podcast partner Karen made the trip!
Well Karen gave me a call about an hour ago to let me know that she is having a great time and wanted to say hi to all of you out there. She also mentioned that she made the local Hawaii Paper the Star Bulletin and I just looked it up.
Here is the portion where Karen is mentioned:
As fans screamed to Michael Emerson, "We know you're a good guy! You're amazing!" he, too, acknowledged them from the red carpet, generating a new rush of noise. "They're amped up!" said the actor who plays Ben Linus.
At an event that both greeted the sixth and final season of "Lost" and bid farewell to the ensemble cast that will never walk a red carpet over Waikiki sand again, fans appeared in droves to express their appreciation, catch a glimpse of their favorite stars and watch the first hour of a two-hour season premiere scheduled to air Tuesday night on ABC.
An estimated 15,000 people, sometimes five deep with hands extended into the air clutching phones, cameras and other recording devices, gathered around the metal barriers at last night's Sunset on the Beach "Lost" premiere. It was such an impressive showing that even creator and executive producer/writer Carlton Cuse paused on the red carpet to take photos of the wildly enthusiastic fans with his own camera.
Karen Mauro and her husband Cris, wearing a Dharma Initiative T-shirt, flew in from Florida for the premiere. Karen "explores potential clues ... and hopefully gives people another way of looking at things" in her "Lost" blog that she said has thousands of followers. The Hawaii event gave her the opportunity to finally meet some of the people with whom she's been communicating online for five years.
Donna Moyle won ABC's sweepstakes competition and traveled from Portland, where she stood near the red carpet wearing a pink WWLD (What Would Locke Do?) T-shirt. Introduced to the series in March, she's since watched every episode on DVD.
It was clear that the event was meaningful to the stars, as well.

New Interview with Yunjin Kim
New Interview with LOST actress Yunjin Kim who plays Sun
What were your expectations when you signed on as a cast member?
When I read the script, I thought it was like a movie script. I had never seen anything like this on television. I thought, "Either this is going to be the best TV show or the worst TV show." And when I say it had the potential to be bad, I mean so bad that we would be made fun of for years!
What do you think of the journey of personal growth that Sun has taken over the years?
Sun has come such a long way from the pilot. If you remember, she was very subservient, a really quiet, scared woman who did whatever she was told by her husband. Now you cut to Season 6 and she’s a very different woman and very much her own person. That’s something that [producers] J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof promised from the beginning. I was concerned that I was playing into this stereotypical image of that Asian woman. But J.J. said, "You’re going to end up loving this character."
Sun and her husband Jin (played by Daniel Dae Kim) differ from most of the other characters. Your thoughts about their relationship?
Sun and Jin’s stories have touched a lot of people, I think, because we are the only married couple on the island. We do have Rose and Bernard, but they’re guest stars. They sometimes show up and sometimes don’t, and they’re loved by fans as well. But Sun and Jin represent the only marriage and the most real and most tangible relationship on the island. And people root for us. They can’t wait to see us get back together and into each other’s arms. People really want to see a happy ending for Sun and Jin. It’s really touching.
What will be your most cherished memory of working on the show?
I had a such good feeling about it once I stepped into the set of Lost for the first time and saw that chopped-off half plane sitting on the beach. That was my first impression: "Oh, my God, is that a real plane chopped up in half?" And they said, "Yeah, we brought it in from L.A." This beautiful Hawaiian beach and the chaos of the crash site to contradict it, it was quite stunning. I think I will always remember that first moment of just going, "Wow!"

GIVEAWAY: Three Ways to Win Vozzek's New Book (ENDED)
UPDATE: 12AM 1/30 Here are the three lucky winners! Congratulations to all three, please email me at mrtheodi@gmail.com for more details.1) Twitter Winner: @MsFlipper (Lisa)
2) Facebook Winner: Debby Branham
3) Comment Winner: ShameAboutRay who had the comment below:
Lost has helped me get through 6 of the toughest years of my life. In many ways my journey has mirrored what the survivors of 815 have endured on the island. Although my island was an illness that felt at times like a gargantuan smoke monster bearing down on me, I have been able to fight it off and am a survivor. I can not explain to anyone how comforting watching LOST has been to me, being stuck in my own polar bear cage separated from everyone else. Oddly enough I never thought I would ever consider a TV show comforting but there you have it Brotha. I can tell you as a person of science, I honestly have found some faith, and it wasn't wasy.
NOTE: User Dylanparran has a very cool comment and if true and if they can produce a picture then Vozzek said they will be a BONUS WINNER for really having this setup.
Okay, this might be really bad, I don't know - But, I'm 16 and live with my parents, and I've turned the attack in the house into the computer room from the Swan station! My folks don't even know! Every time they go out, I work on it a little more. All I need now is some cupboards for the machines and a computer keyboard with the words "Execute" written on it.
I have everything! A computer with desk, replica of the original and the roof tiles, everything!
UPDATE: 5PM PST The Giveaway is now closed and we will announce the winners soon!

LOST Unanswered Questions
Thanks to Robin Parrish from ApproachingLOST.com for the following
Can you believe the beginning of the end is here, after all these years? I have something to mark the occasion that I think is kinda nifty, and I'd like to get it into the hands of as many Lost fans who want it as possible.
Like lots of others, I've spent the last year re-watching all of Lost's first 103 hours, and I kept careful track of the many, many unanswered questions. After a lot of thought and consideration, I've rooted out the trivial ones that aren't likely to be addressed, and compiled the rest into a PDF document. It's a topical checklist of Lost's unanswered questions.
I'm not gonna call my list "definitive," because there's no way any list ever could be, since we've all got our own personal wishlists of questions we hope the show answers. But to the best of my reckoning, these are the most important questions that still require an answer, from a storytelling point-of-view. (I know, I know, the characters are what matter most. I'm not suggesting that the mysteries are more important. This is just for kicks.)
If you'd be interested in posting this PDF for your readers to download and use for their own enjoyment, I hereby grant express permission for you to download the PDF and post it on your own website/server for your readers to have and use.
