Hey All,Earlier today I had a chance to speak with LOST Actor Henry Ian Cusick who plays the fan favorite Desmond Hume.
It was a fun little interview and he was really candid with his replies. We chatted about the Desmond and Penny relationship, filming some scenes such as the call in The Constant and the Underwater scene in Happily Ever After. I also asked him some questions about last week's episode and what we should expect from Desmond.
For those of you that do not like spoilers, I did ask him how much we will see Desmond and he did give an answer. We also talk about if he was satisfied with how Desmond ends the season and he talks about there being a secret scene in the finale that no one knows about yet, but will be filmed soon.
So if you consider those type of things as spoilers just wanted to give you a little warning.
The interview was posted to iTunes earlier today, but here is the audio player and download link for those that can not access iTunes.
Thanks to all of you that submitted questions and I hope you all enjoy!

Mini Transcript Thanks to Gokhan:
- He signed for three episodes 4 years ago, like Michael Emerson did; now Cusick is still on the show and he is glad to be. He thought to be on the show so much that he finally made it happen.
- He will be in Hawaii, staying there for a long time, not because of the show but because that he has other works to do in there.
- He agrees on the idea that Desmond centric episodes are always rated high and writers like to write great episodes for Desmond.
- The scene from "The Constant"; Penny and Desmond on the phone: Separate shots were made and Desmond's phone scene was shot at the end of the day, Cusick mentions how quick it was made.
- Question "Does the fs Desmond think or know the things that on-island Desmond does/knows?" Answer: "Desmond was pushed into the fs with electromagnetic (thing) and he very much aware of what happens on the island and in fs and the thing is that fs is not right. He is on a mission now, not in the fs but on the island."
- Question "Does what Desmond thinks on the island affects fs Desmond?" Answer: "It's not a moment to moment realization, but he knows what happens on the island while he is in fs."
- Question "Is Desmond's mission in fs is to find all 815ers with the manifest (flight list) and remind them about the island life?" Answer: "Yeah it is. It (might not) be specifically to show them their island life, but he felt something and he has to show them something in fs to fix the wrongness of fs. He does what he thinks is right. You'll find that out."
- ODI asks about the underwater car scene in "HEA"; Cusick says it was scary for the first time. They did the underwater scenes in a tank.
- Question: Was it a satisfying moment for Cusick as it was for fans while watching as Desmond attacked on Charles in 6x11? Answer: It was a hard scene. Desmond had that rage for a long time and it was the expression of it.
SPOILER--SPOILER--SPOILER
- Question: Will we see more of Desmond this season? Answer: Not as a single episode dedicated/central for Desmond, because there are other characters also and we will watch all of them (I think this means yes we will see him but not ONLY him)
- A mentioning to Desmond's vision about Claire taken by a helicopter from the island. Cusick says that was a line and in season 4 finale he thought Claire would be on the helicopter too, but this is for now just a line. He doesn't know if it is true or not or will happen or not.
- Desmond said he will read "Our Mutual Friend" before he dies. The question is will Desmond ever read the book? Cusick says Desmond should have read the book already, but he himself haven't yet.
- What would Cusick bring to the island if he were to be stucked on there? Matches (?), his wife, a sailboat. He takes sailboat back and says a musical instrument.
- As the end of the show is near, is Cusick satisfied with the end that his character gets? Answer: It doesn't relate to the question but every actor has its own script, like eleven or twelve actors have their own. They have a 10 act script, but not 11th (I think series finale is about 11 acts, scripts are generally divided to acts). So nobody knows what happens in the final act, which they will be filming soon. So far it's been great. But even with the 11th act, there's a missing final scene that nobody knows and they will need to figure everything out with that missing scene. They joke about all 6 seasons coming onto only one scene. :D

Hey All,This week we are back with another bonus podcast with EW's Jeff Jensen aka Doc Jensen. The last time when Jeff joined us a few weeks ago, many of you loved the podcast so much that we asked him to come back and he did. This time both Karen and Danny (Vozzek) were a part of the podcast and it made for some good theorizing.
We mainly talked to Jeff about his thoughts on the reveals from this past week's LOST Episode 6x11 Happily Ever After. We also talked more about what Keamy said to Jin in the fridge last week and how we think the rest of the season might play out.
So hope you all enjoy it!
NOTE: We will still have the weekly recap podcast out soon.
You can find this podcast at iTunes or via the audio player or download link below.

Episode 6x11 - ODI LOSTometer Episode Grade Chart
Hey All,
This past week's episode was amazing and as always Henry Ian Cusick did a great job portraying Desmond. Desmond episodes seem to stand above the other episodes and this week was no different.
The writers did a great job once again with Desmond time traveling/flashing through time and worlds and Charlie's return and underwater scene were fantastic. The fact that ALT Desmond finally has Widmore's approval but not Penny's love was an interesting twist but as always Desmond and Penny's love can not be stopped no matter how much Hawking and Widmore want to keep them apart.
There was so much in this episode including Faraday and Minkowski's cameos that were right on the dot with ALT musician Faraday telling a story of love at first sight causing him to remember that he was a nuclear bomb blowing scientist in the Island timeline and Minkowski the driver providing Desmond with what ever he desires.
The graders once again were fairly unanimous with their grades and the episode had a final average grade of an "A". Several gave the episode an A+, but there were too many As that lead to the average overall grade.
Quote of the Week via Erin at LOST Blog: "I COMPLETELY loved this, it was exactly what I always hope for in a LOST episode – some answers, some tying together, some more questions, sideways time and island time, long lost characters, some great sciency things, plus some faith. LOVE IT!"
Once again thanks to all that are participating and don't forget to check out their sites and recaps at the following links:

Episode 6x11 - Dark V Light - Two Different Photo Frames??

So as we have mentioned many times before we seem to have different variations of items in the show, from episode to episode or even within the same scene. There are countless moments to list and most have always claimed them to be continuity errors.
However, this week there is one that is definitely NOT a continuity error. During the filming of this episode, set pics revealed two distinct versions of the Scale Art with black and white rocks that we see in Widmore's office. This proved right away that the producers purposely wanted to make sure that we noticed two different frames.
Well my fellow podcast partner and friend Karen (from Karen's LOST Notebook) has put together a cool screencap showing the two different frames and how they are on opposite sides of the room during this past week's episode.
So with all the talk of reflections and mirrors, how about mirroring art??
Two different moments in one scene? What do you think the writers are hinting at?

UPDATE: Looks like I need to double check my screencaps. Apparently it is flashing "Arrived" after all. :)
Sooo with all the crazy reveals of this past week's episode 6x11 Happily Ever After. Did you all notice yet another Lostie staring at their reflection??
Well that was not to hard to miss right, but what about the fact that Flight 815 is not being shown as arrived on the Oceanic Airlines arrival board? Not on-time, not late, nothing! Just blank.
So what does this all mean?
Well some speculate that the flash sideways do not even exist, some even say this is all just happening in their head and perhaps this is just another clue to such theories??
I am sure the naysayers will say it is just another continuity error or that the board was just not updated yet.
Well I don't buy it. There is NO way that the props team or writers would miss something like this.
Below is a screencap to take a look at, so what do you all think?

Hey All,So has the reveal of "Jones" as Young Widmore set in yet!? What about the fact that Desmond and Penny have a baby named Charlie!? Of course there is still Future Locke convincing Richard Alpert he is his leader by sending him to witness his own birth!? Oh and there is still Faraday's time traveling knowledge and his connection to Widmore!?
Yes all of these reveals and more provided us with answers but also led to several more questions once again. In this podcast Karen and I provide you with our thoughts and raise some questions about this great episode Jughead.

Episode 5x03 Jughead - Makes MY Head Explode!!
A jughead sized OMG WTF!? Was heard/seen collectively online and throughout the LOSTverse last night during the awesome reveal of the young military man "Jones" as the one and only Charles Widmore!!Last week when the writers kicked down the door of time travel, I knew we were indeed moving into territory that many fans and people would not be too happy about it. Of course with knowing spoilers, I knew what was coming and felt a little more relaxed knowing the route that Darlton was taking.
Yes I knew Des/Pen were going to have a baby boy, that the Jughead was a bomb and that we were going to see a Young Widmore!!
However, my head still exploded watching it all play out!! Baby Charlie added more emotion to the most romantic couple on the show and yes they do not even need it. Of course, what if Baby Charlie is ummmm Charlie Pace!? Nah can't be right!? Well either way it is an awesome tribute for Des to name his son Charlie in honor of his island buddy, but how smart are the writers that with the name "Charlie" we also get a little nod to Charles Widmore for Penny.
Watching Desmond search first for the doctor and then again for Faraday's Mom and then for the Spencers (Teresa I will discuss later) while eventually ending up once again back at Widmore's office is a great parallel. Yes, I am sure many of you now clearly noticed the Polar Bear Namaste painting, but if you were obsessive like me and some other fans back in Season 2, then you will realize this is the SAME painting from Widmore's office. Ohhh what it means now!! Kudos Darlton!
Speaking of Teresa, who is she you ask!? Well the simple answer is she of course is the poor lady that Faraday was doing experiments on and unfortunately seems to have her mind stuck in time who knows where!? Of course, she could be there just to learn the reveal of the Faraday/Widmore connection OR is it possible this is the Teresa that falls up and down the stairs that Boone seemed to mention while with Locke in the jungle back in Season 1!?
Desmond episodes are always amazing, because of the emotion and acting that are put for by both Des and Pen and this episode is no different. I still love The Constant more, but this episode ends on interesting note with Penny realizing that no mater what, that Des is destined for the island once again, but this time her and Charlie will join him!! Of course, another door opens for the fans that believe Des/Pen are Adam and Eve.
Desmond's scenes were great, but the on-island adventures were quite revealing as well!!
There are too many to reeeeally analyze, but here are the key moments:
1) Jughead the bomb itself, having to buried in concrete, my first thought like many others, could this be WHY there is all the concrete under the swan hatch!?
2) Thanks to my good friend Sawyer840 for pointing out the bomb was danglind like pendulum ala Ms. Hawking's little lair. Nice little connection and you can find more at Sawyer840 about Pendulums.
3) Once again Faraday plays a key role as someone who tries to keep order to all of the flashing and chaos. However, along the way he declares his love for Charlotte, seems to think Ellie looks familiar (maybe his mom or Charlotte's mom) and happens to convince Ellie everything is ok by telling her that they are from the future.
4) Locke the Leader - Locke finally begins to understand what is going on, but still does not know how to fix things. He convinces past ummm young "old" Alpert that he is his leader from the future and that he was sent from Jacob. The compass shows up once again and well the big reveal is that Locke tells Alpert that if he does NOT believe him that you can come see him be born!! Yup, that is WHY Alpert was following Locke through his early days and trying to convince Young Locke to join Mittelos!!
5) Widmore was/is an Other/Hostile - Now of course this is the moment that is the OMG WTF reveal that rippled through time and space of the LOSTverse finally revealing just WHO Charles Widmore is!! So he was NOT lying to Ben when he said that the island was "his". Of course we do not know if it is literally hi, but we now understand that he was an original inhabitant, Other/Hostile of the island!!
Too Freaking good!!
6)Zombie Charlotte - Well the episode ends with the on-island Losties flashing through time once again, WHEN they are nobody knows!! However, the side effects finally kick and well it seems like Charlotte has the "sickness" and needs to realize who her Constant is and QUICKLY!. Poor Dan
Well I can keep on going but I will save the thoughts for the podcasts and for you to read via other recappers, but I would def give this episode a 9.5/10. the extra .5 bonus was for the Widmore reveal.
Please vote in the poll and check out some of the key screencaps from this episode below...enjoy!
