So some of you must be wondering why I am posting a clip from Season 5? Well this one seems pretty important if you think about it.

Especially if you are a listener of our podcast, this clip is very important to understand where my podcast partners Danny (Vozzek) and Karen are coming from.

Ghost Ana-Lucia in Oceanic 6 (ALT Timeline?) off-island time visits Hurley while Sayid is sleeping (yes knocked out by drug darts) says "what IF I were real" and that he has a lot of work to do. She ends it with the infamous "Libby says hi."

So whether you listen to the podcast or read their recaps, this clip must mean so much more after watching the events of Season 6. So did Ghost Ana Lucia come from the "other side" ala other characters. What about Charlie as well? Of course this episode is after all title "The Lie".

Is there an outside the island world that the dead or even "alive" are trying to help our LOST Losties find their way and wake up?

Hey All,
As many of you know by now, earlier this week Karen and I had an opportunity to chat with LOST Star and fan favorite Jorge Garcia (Hurley). Garcia took time from is busy filming schedule and was absolutely great and very candid. He talked to us about himself, his hobbies, his blog (Dispatches from the Island) and of course LOST.

The LOST talk covered everything from some funny/favorite moments of his character to talking about the second hour of the Season 5 premiere Episode 5x02 The Lie. We of course asked him several of the questions that you all sent in. He loved them and answered several of them, including providing us with his thoughts about time travel, the Hurley Bird, whether he thinks Hurley is "Special", Libby and much much more!!

Towards the end of the interview, I asked him about his thoughts about fansites like this and DarkUFO posting spoilers and we had a nice chat about that as well. He did reveal/clarify a previous minor spoiler about the Smoke Monster that occurs at the 68 minute mark .

He did confirm that he is reading the script for Episode 5x13 and whether he appears or not. He also confirmed that production for Epi 5x13 will start today (Friday).

So we waited months and months to finally watch the Season 5 premiere of LOST and now we can not wait until Wednesday for Episode 5x03!!

In our latest podcast, Karen and I try to make sense of all the crazy goodness that appeared in the first two hours of the season and provide you with our thoughts about all the key scenes.

Since we are back to our standard weekly format, at the end of the podcast we provide you with a little preview of what to expect in Episode 5x03.

Also, I wanted to thank all of you out there that have sent in questions for Jorge Garcia (Hurley) who will join us this week for the podcast after Episode 5x03. They are all great questions and hopefully we will be able to ask as many as possible.

Episode 5x01/02 - Official ABC Mini-Podcast

No fan questions answered, but here are a couple of tidbits from them about what happened in the premiere:

1) On whether the people are moving or the island, Damon and Carlton confirm that a little of both are happening. They reference how Ethan is not moving, but Locke is and so is the island
2) Juliet/Sawyer escape the Arrow attack, but what happened to the other survivors!? Most were killed but Rose and Bernard are safe.

Episode 5x01/02 Because You Left/The Lie - Delivers a OMG WTF Sandwich!!

Yup that is exactly right even after ALL the spoilers and knowing both the opening scene of the first hour and the final scene of the second hour the two hour LOST Season 5 Premiere delivers an amazing Hero-Sized OMG WTF Sandwich!!

Yes I knew even what was going to be in the sandwich and the episode lived up to the hype, the expectations and I can barely remember the 8 month hiatus anymore.

Right from the opening tip-off we have a Desmond-esqu Season 2 premiere scene and yes there is a record player, which gets "stuck" and is a shape of things to come. Of course the reveals that we are in Othersville, that the individual we are following is Pierre Chang aka Dr. Candle, that Candle is filming the yet to be seen Arrow Hatch Orientation video, that he eventually heads to the Orchid because of some problem, that we see an X-Ray of the Frozen Donkey Wheel, are all worthy of a great reveal and WTF moment on their own, but who cares because it is the appearance of the Time Traveling Daniel Faraday that steals the scene!!

Well done Damon and Carlton!!

Meat of the Sandwich:
The episode speeds along skipping in time showing us snippets of the beachies, the O Sixers, and Locke flashing through time having several interesting encounters Ethan (and gets shot once again WTF), Richard (who says he has to die) and of course the Virgin Mary (ok ok I know it was just the statue but it still counts as an encounter). More about Locke later.

There are several great scenes almost too many to mention including the flaming arrows and the chemistry between Ben and Jack is great. The first hour ends on a very interesting scene with Daniel meeting with Desmond in the PAST at the Swan Hatch, but tries to convince Desmond to meet his (Daniel's) mom in the FUTURE!! Huh WTF!? Holy Time Travels Batman!! Who is Faraday's mom!? Also are these the moments that will lose LOST's casual viewers or solidify a sci-fi/mythology loving fan base??

BTW Frogurt!? WTF!? Pointless, yes I know he was in the mobisodes!! LOL

We are then taken into the second episode titled The Lie a really funny Hurley centric episode!! Once again Hurley sees a dead person, this time Ana Lucia who delivers on of the best lines of the night: "Libby Says Hi".

Jorge Garcia was once again great and scenes are always fun to watch. Sayid and Hurley head to the safe house where they are confronted and Sayid is bad ass again, but gets nailed by perhaps Dharma-esque tranquilizer dart. Hurley takes Sayid to his parents and his dad eventually gets Jack involved to save Sayid's live. I actually think Sayid might have been mind-traveling at the moment Jack revives him (think back to when Desmond Mind-Traveled on the freighter).

Of course the episode ends with a nice 1-2 punch when Locke shows up to save the day (well Sawyer and Juliet) for that moment at least, by tossing a knife into someones back once again. Who is THIS set of army men!?

However, the reveal of the formula writing, pendulum watching hooded Obi-Wan Kenobi as Hawking was absolutely an amazing way to end the night!! WTF Ben!? I love his character more and more with each and every passing moment!!

This week's final thought:
Can't wait for NEXT week!!
