LOST Actress Rebecca Mader has recently posted a video asking her fans to make a small donation to UNICEF to help out the victims of the Haiti Earthquake.
Earlier today in the Heroes section we posted a story about Heroes Actor Jimmy Jean Louis who has lost several family members and perhaps even his parents. Louis also put out a video pleading for help.
You can see more details here:

Official Statement from Rebecca Mader About Age Issue
Hey All,
By now some of you have seen perhaps Rebecca Mader's Facebook update and perhaps even EW's article about Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse replying to her updates.
Here is the breakdown of what we know:
Well after Episode 5x08 LaFleur aired many fans jumped up and screamed how is it possible for Charlotte who was born in 1979 to be a Young Girl in 1977? Of course I guess with wacky time traveling and the lying on the show it could be explained, but the LOST writers during their weekly podcast, claimed that during filming and on set that actress Rebecca Mader made the change because the original date is 1970 in the script. They claimed she did not want to be playing a character that old.
Of course immediately many fans sent messages to Mader and we contacted her ourselves to see what was up?? She issued an official statement and was not too happy about Darlton claiming she changed the birthdate.
Here is what she sent us:
I just wanted to say that I NEVER changed my characters age on the set of LOST as Damon and Carlton accused me of on the most recent LOST Podcast. Charlotte Lewis was ALWAYS meant to be 28 and born in 1979. It was written in the script EP# 402 of which I have a copy and I can prove this. They made a mistake. They are making it my fault. NOT COOL.
Well she also voiced this opinion on her Facebook page where EW picked up the story and contacted Darlton who have now issued a joint apology to Mader and for screwing up.
Here is their apology via EW:
"Rebecca is absolutely right and we apologize to both her and the entire fan community for screwing up the story," the pair said in a joint email. "By way of explanation, here's what happened:
There were a gazillion questions about the timeline discrepancy in that young Charlotte clearly exists in 1974, but wasn't supposed to be born until 1979, per a single line of dialogue courtesy of Ben back in episode #402. When we inquired as to how this happened, the intel came back that we used Rebecca Mader's birthday, July 2, 1979 because she was actually eight years YOUNGER than the character as originally conceived/scripted. We misremembered this as having come from Rebecca herself on the set, but in fact, it came several days earlier when our continuity expert Gregg Nations pointed it out and suggested using Rebecca's actual birthday for Charlotte. And so, the mistake was OURS. Rebecca's production draft DID have the date as being 1979.
Our first mistake was the timeline gaffe, but the much more significant one was wrapping Rebecca up in this when she had nothing to do with it. Not her fault on any level. It was our bad. One hundred percent. We will say as much in a very special "Eating Crow" edition of our Podcast tomorrow. Speaking of which, what a wonderful world we live in where we can make a comment in a Podcast that triggers a response on someone's Facebook page and that triggers a mea culpa on someone else's blog. Ah, technology."
So there you go! Thanks to Rebecca for the official statement and am I sure she will see Darlton's apology as well.
What do you all think!?

Hey All,
Earlier today we posted some promo pics of LOST producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse and now ABC has released some more images of Rebecca Mader who plays Charlotte.
Mader has been a part of all of the official promotional pictures and there were some of her when we posted all of the cast promotional images. However, she has not been listed as a "Regular" cast member on any press releases.
This has caused some stir online with some fans, but I am not too sure it really means anything.
Well here are the pics, so enjoy!!

Mader Joins Cast of Men Who Stare at Goats
Hey All,
Earlier today Karen and I interviewed LOST star Rebecca Mader and we will post the audio soon so stay tuned!!
However, while she was on the podcast she did inform us that she just got a new role in a movie called Men Who Stare at Goats that stars George Clooney and many others.
I just jumped online and boom here is an announcement for the movie!!
The title might seem strange, but the movie seems interesting....so check it out:
Rebecca Mader, best known for playing scheming redhead Charlotte on ABC's "Lost," is in final negotiations to play Ewan McGregor's wife in "Men Who Stare at Goats."
Based on the book by Jon Ronson, the Iraq-set movie centers on a desperate reporter (McGregor) who stumbles upon the story of a lifetime when he meets a man (George Clooney) who claims to be a former secret U.S. military psychic soldier.
Clooney's business partner Grant Heslov will direct, and will produce with the actor.

Rebecca Mader Interview about Playing Charlotte
Here is the most recent interview from LOST star (and hottie) Rebecca Mader about playing Charlotte. She discusses her potential romance with Daniel and what she thinks about fan theories.
She mentions a very minor potential spoiler about where she thinks Charlotte was born.
IGN TV: When you join a show already has big as this one, it must be a lot to take in at once.
Rebecca Mader: Well, I think for an actress it's a dream come true to step onto an existing hit TV show. It's a no-brainer. You're like, "Wicked!" You get to jump on and enjoy the roller coaster ride, really. It's been fantastic.
IGN: Sometimes when new characters join a show like this, there can be audience resistance, but the four of you seemed to really click and were well received.
Mader: I think that's because these new characters were integral to the storyline. I think that's why the fans accepted them. It made sense that these new people were coming on, because it was part of moving the whole storyline along where all these people were going to get off [the island]. It wasn't just adding new people and throwing them in and seeing if it stuck. This was like, "Are these people going to actually f**king get off this island and are these people going to make it happen?" I think that just made it so believable and so good in Season 4.
IGN: This is a show where secrets are integral. How much do Damon [Lindelof] and Carlton [Cuse] tell you ahead of time?
Mader: Oh god, nothing! None of us know anything! It's funny when people ask, "What do you guys do on your downtime in-between scenes? Do you all sit down and talk about the show?" I say, "No, none of us know anything. We're all sitting there talking about the iPhone vs. the Blackberry," you know what I mean? [Laughs] That's about it.
IGN: So was it funny for you to just jump in and do a scene with a polar bear skeleton and think, "Eventually I'll find out what this is about!"?
Mader: "No idea what this means, but lunch is in ten minutes!" [Laughs]
IGN: You and Jeremy [Davies] have a subplot about his romantic interest in you, which has been a sweet little part of the show. Has that dynamic been fun to explore?
Mader: Yeah, it's cute and I think we've got really good chemistry. I think it reads really well on screen. I think the two of us work pretty well together and he's really good.
IGN: What did you think about Charlotte's decision to stay on the island?
Mader: Well, we found out in the season finale that she was born on the island. I don't know what it means, and I'm trying not to think about it too much, because I don't know what they're going to write. So I don't want to become too attached to some stupid theory in my head, because there's no way I'm going to come up with something as good as Damon and Carlton. So I'm just letting it go, and ignorance is bliss at this point!
IGN: This is a show where fans come up with a lot of crazy theories.
IGN: Have you been reading what they're speculating about your character?
Mader: I've made myself a new rule to try and stay off of blogs and websites and just kind of not do it, because then I get all wrapped up into it and then I want to read anything negative about myself.
Fans come up with the best theories. I love it! That's what I love about the show is that it's intelligent. I'm a bit geeky, so I love the whole geek factor. Really smart people follow the show and they get so into it and try and figure it out and it's such a cool thing.
IGN: Do fans approach you a lot with their theories and questions?
Mader: I get questions everyday on my Facebook and my MySpace page, begging me for answers. But I just don't know! [Laughs] And they don't believe me! They're like, "Come on! You know you know!" I'm like, "I really don't know!"
IGN: Are you filming Season 5 yet?
Mader: No, we're still on hiatus. We go back later in August. I'm on holiday.
IGN: How do you like filming in Hawaii?
Mader: It's beautiful. The people are really nice. It's really relaxed. It's like L.A., but even more relaxed. It's really chill.
IGN: The only complaint I hear is how much it can rain.
Mader: But I'm English. That makes me feel at home! When it starts pissing down, I just put the kettle on. I'm like, "Oh, isn't this lovely? I I'll have a cup of tea." Oh, I love it.
