Hi LOST fans!
We’re bringing you a quick report via Jorge Garcia’s blog.
Jorge reports in a post titled “The Beginning of the Lasts”, that he filled out his start paperwork for Lost for the last time.
I know we’re all excited to know the cast is back in Hawaii and ready to film. On the other hand I know there are many of us that are dreading the ending of this amazing story.
Thank you Jorge for keeping us in the "Loop".

Michael Emerson's Ambiguous Villain.
Lost fans, you can check out this great interview with Michael Emerson over at Channel News Asia.
Actor Michael Emerson on the end of Lost and being creepy.
Ben Linus has become one of television's most enigmatic bad guys - creepy stare and all. If only the guy who plays him on Lost had an Emmy to show for it.
The TV-equivalent of the Oscars is a month away and once again, actor Michael Emerson is up for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series. Emerson's been there before - twice.
Nominated for his role as the former leader of the Others, Emerson lost to Lost co-star Terry O'Quinn in 2007 and to Zeljko Ivanek of Damages last year. So will it be third-time lucky for him?
"I think it may be enough honour to be nominated," he said carefully over the phone during a teleconference last week. "Anyone who has a career long enough on television to get nominated for an Emmy has succeeded on some level, and that's great for me."
Emerson and the cast are back in Hawaii, heading into production for what would be the show's sixth and final season.
The fifth season is currently showing on AXN Beyond.
Before joining Lost in 2006, Emerson's biggest TV role was as a guest star on The Practice back in 2001, playing William Hinks (which, incidentally, won him an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Star).
The 55-year-old theatre actor is surprised by the success of his character. Fans say they like Ben's damaged moral ambiguity - you're not sure whether he's really bad or not. It's a common trait found in several of Emerson's characters, such as Hinks or Zep Hindle in the Saw movies.
"I'm playing it like I would any sort of ambiguous villain," he said. "You want to engage the audience and place them in a morally ambiguous position - both irritating and fascinating in equal measures... It would be fine with me if the show ended and no one still knew if Ben was a bad guy or a hero."
While Emerson is sad to see the series end, he's glad Lost has left its footprint on television history - Emmy or not.
"There have been so many shows that have employed this sort of serial, spectacle, adventure, science fiction format, and... trying to reinvent the magic that was created with Lost."
Besides, he said, it's been fun - despite the show's grave and dramatic demeanour.
"Yes, the show is heavy... (but) we end up cracking each other up a lot. It's a humorous state of camaraderie. I mean, we take our work seriously, and the acting is at a fairly high level. But you know, when you've been up since 4am and you've worked 14 hours, things can get a little goofy late at night," said Emerson.
"Sometimes I think the best scenes are the ones where we're literally obliterated with fatigue!"

Happy 8/15 Day and Trip to Hawaii!!
Hey All,Yes today is August 15th and many LOST fans across the world are celebrating it as 815 Day!!
So on this special day I would like to announce that Tuesday I will be taking one of my first extended vacations in a very long time!! This is my first real vacation since I have had this site running for over two years and luckily it will be to the beautiful island of Hawaii!! :)
So this coming Tuesday I head to Kona, Hawaii with my family and we will spend several days there and then on the 23rd I will take a flight sitting in seat 15F to Oahu!! Yes that is right LOST Isle!
This is my first trip to Hawaii and I am pretty excited to check out this beautiful place and of course then check out all of the LOST locations!
Filming for Season 6 of LOST is scheduled to start on the 24th and I am really hoping fate is in my favor and I will be able to see some filming taking place.
At times I feel this site can eat up too much of my time but I love doing it and I have met so many great friends among the LOST Community it is all worth it. Luckily I will be able to meet some of these friends including Ryan and his wife Jen from The Transmission podcast, Set Reporter Roxy, Jon Barrand a fan turned extra on LOST, Wendy aka Kanahina and many many others!!
I will have my laptop on my and will have my iPhone, so I should be able to post updates and pictures on the site and via my Twitter account. If you still have not signed up to Twitter then you need to, because you can get instant alerts for everything we post across the whole site.
Check out my Twitter account here: @TheODI
Regular LOST news might be a bit slower to post but I will have my good friends DarkUFO and Karen that will be keeping an eye on the site. We also have several members of Team ODI that will be keeping and eye on the Heroes section and big team keeping an eye on all the SpoilerTV pages as well.
So I hope you all have a Happy 815 Day and I can't wait to report back to all of you about any happenings next week on LOST Isle.
Namaste.
LOST Question on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire!
Hey All,
I was flipping the channels and started watching Who Wants to be a Millionaire tonight and much to my surprise one of the categories was LOST!!
So I kept watching in hopes the contestant would make it to that question! It was worth $100,000 and I was super curious what the question would be!?
Unfortunately the guy ummmm lost on the question right before and we were all denied the chance at seeing the question.
Well at least ABC did some good cross promotion!
Here is a picture I took of my TV screen.
Did any of you see this and sit there like me waiting for that question to be revealed!?

Radzinsky to Play Skrzynski in Kevorkian Biopic
LOST Actor and Dharma Member Eric Lange who played the infamous Radzinsky has just been cast to play the role of the lawyer who took down Dr. Jack Kevorkian in the HBO Biopic "You Don't Know Jack". Who plays Kevorkian you ask? None other than superstar Al Pacino! Also cast in the movie are Susan Sarandon and John Goodman.
I am happy for Lange who I felt did a wonderful job as Radzinsky even though man fans hated his character for being such an ass to the Losties. The really big kick is that his character's name in the movie is Skrzynski!
No Losties it is not an Easter Egg! :)
You can see more info about the movie here: You Don't Know Jack on IMDB

The Make-Believe ABC House Is Getting Crowded
Thanks to Flyer for the heads up.
An imaginative campaign from ABC to promote its series for the 2009-10 season is being expanded.
The campaign, which began in May, is centered on the fanciful notion that the stars of all the shows broadcast by ABC live together in a house as one big happy family. Think of it as sort of a marketing spin on “Big Brother.” (Video below.)
The commercials that have appeared so far have been general in nature, featuring ABC stars like Sally Field (“Brothers and Sisters”), Teri Hatcher (“Desperate Housewives”), Matthew Fox (“Lost”) and the late-night host Jimmy Kimmel. New spots that are to begin running on Saturday, which will be available in longer versions next week on abc.com, will promote four new sitcoms that are to make their debuts on Wednesdays in the fall.
The new Wednesday series touted in the commercials are “Hank,” starring Kelsey Grammer; “The Middle,” starring Patricia Heaton; “Modern Family,” with an ensemble cast that includes Ed O’Neill; and “Cougartown,” with Courteney Cox. They are to appear from 8 to 10 on Wednesday nights.
The vignettes in the commercials include Calista Flockhart of “Brothers and Sisters” welcoming Mr. Grammer to the ABC house and showing him to his room. He offers her a tip; she tells him she is not a maid. Also, Josh Holloway of “Lost” and Ms. Cox exchange ripostes at a barbecue. And some of the newcomers are pressed into doing laundry for the casts of established ABC series like “Dancing With the Stars” and “Grey’s Anatomy.”
“We started with the people who are very familiar faces,” said Marla Provencio, co-executive vice president for marketing at ABC with Mike Benson. Now the idea is to use the premise of the ABC house to “introduce our new Wednesday comedy line-up,” she added.
“The great thing about the ABC house campaign is that it has such great legs,” Ms. Provencio said.
For instance, if ABC is to broadcast a special show like the American Music Awards, she added, the celebrities who are nominees could appear in commercials as if they had been invited to the ABC house “for a special dinner” or “television night.”
The campaign is being created internally at the marketing department at ABC, part of the Walt Disney Company, with Becky Daugherty, vice president for specials and late night, and her staff members. Vince Manze, a former NBC marketing executive who is a consultant to ABC, is also helping develop the campaign.

New Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Interview
AAA talks about his role in his new movie G.I. Joe and then discusses the rumors about his potential return to LOST as Mr. Eko.
I would go crazy if he returned. Eko was always one of my favorite characters and one of the most disappointing deaths on the show for me.
No spoilers, so enjoy!
Here is the transcript of what he says about LOST:
Yes there are rumors circulating about LOST and I do not know where that are coming from (He smiles with a grin and looks around), but they are building up. Yeah so you know with that show anything can happen and the fans really liked Mr. Eko and it might be nice to weild the stick one more time.

Netflix to Stream All 5 Seasons of LOST!!
Netflix to Stream All 5 Seasons of LOST!!
Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ: NFLX), the world's largest online movie rental service, today announced an agreement with Disney-ABC Television Group that will make several of ABC's most popular TV series available to be streamed instantly from Netflix.
In its entirety, the deal will allow Netflix members to instantly watch the first five seasons of the hit ABC franchise "Lost," seasons four and five of the pop culture phenomenon "Desperate Housewives," season five of the critically acclaimed "Grey's Anatomy," and seasons one and two of the syndicated epic action-adventure fantasy series "Legend of the Seeker" from ABC Studios. Many of the episodes, including the first four seasons of "Lost," will be available from Netflix beginning August 1. The remainder will be available in subsequent months, beginning in September.
Overall, the agreement extends the online relationship between Netflix and Disney-ABC Television Group, which announced their first digital licensing deal last September. That agreement centered on original series from Disney Channel, including the hits "Hannah Montana," "Wizards of Waverly Place," "The Suite Life on Deck," and Disney Channel's two newest original series, "JONAS" and "Sonny with a Chance." That deal, which will continue, makes episodes available day-after-broadcast.
The new agreement, which was brokered by Disney-ABC Domestic Television, adds top broadcast properties to a growing library of more than 12,000 movies and TV episodes that Netflix members can watch instantly on their computers and TVs as part of their membership at no additional monthly cost.
"We're excited about this new agreement since it builds on a strong foundation with Disney-ABC Television Group," said Robert Kyncl, vice president of content acquisition for Netflix. "In all, we're providing Netflix members with some of the most popular and avidly followed shows on TV while working with an important business partner to help grow several of its key franchises."
As Netflix continues to expand the movies and TV episodes that its members can watch instantly, the company is also partnering with leaders in consumer electronics to bring to market a growing number of network devices that can instantly stream movies and TV episodes from Netflix directly to members' TVs. Those devices include Blu-ray disc players and new Internet TVs from LG Electronics; Blu-ray disc players from Samsung; the Roku digital video player; Microsoft's Xbox 360 game console; TiVo digital video recorders; and, soon, Internet TVs from Sony and VIZIO.

Josh Holloway Interview
Thanks to prisonbreak-tv.ru for the heads up
We had the pleasure of speaking with Josh Holloway at the 2009 Comic Con. Here's what he had to say.
How does it feel to be in the home stretch?
Josh: Bittersweet. As an actor, of course, I'm interested in playing other roles and experimenting with other things, so that part is a bit exciting. To possibly do something- a different role, but, like I said, it's bittersweet because it's going to be difficult to top this one. I've been really enjoying the exploration of the character throughout, and it's going to be a sad thing to see it end. But, then again, it's going to be magical. Last year, everyone's going to be just so excited and the material's going to finally make some sense - maybe. So that I'm looking forward to. The only thing I've gotten right is: I thought The Island moved. That's all I got right the entire six years. I remember saying that to Damon and he got all weird with me. I was like, "Uh oh! Found something, didn't I?" And he ran off. But, yeah, it's gonna be bittersweet for this to end; we love Hawaii.
What is Sawyer's state of mind, post Juliet falling down a giant hole?
Josh: Wow. I think he's pretty destroyed. So I think he's going to be back to - all of that growth just got ripped away. So I think he's going to be a bit salty again, which I'm looking forward to. So I'm not really sure. All I know is that he's destroyed and has given up on life again - having any positive lessons. So, watch out!
Have you had time to read any of the books that Sawyer reads?
Josh: No, actually, strangely enough. And I want to! 'Cause I love Watership Down, which I've seen the cartoon, of course, when I was young, and I was very impressed with that. So I figured, "Hey! I've seen the cartoon, don't need to read the book!" No, I'm kidding. But I read constantly, and I meant to do that - I meant to read these things. And yeah, I've read parts of them because I'm actually reading when I'm reading.
It just feels like it's almost like a course that they're laying out. But who has time to actually take the course?
Josh: It is! Right, exactly. But yeah, I read constantly so...I just haven't read those.
