The ODI

Hey All,
Just wanted to let you know that our ODI LOST Podcast is now also available on Stitcher.

Most of you might not know what Stitcher is, but basically it is an app for your smart phone that allows you to stream radio and podcasts. So you no longer need iTunes or a download link to access the podcast.

You of course need to download the Stitcher app to your phone and then follow instructions carefully. Basically it is just another way for you to access the podcast.

Here is a direct link to the ODI LOST Podcast on Stitcher, just click here:

http://landing.stitcher.com/?srcid=281

We have also added a button to Stitcher on the right hand side bar near the iTunes button.

Hey All,
A few moments ago I tweeted that The ODI Twitter account now has 4K followers and we crossed 10K Tweets earlier this week!

Well earlier this month we crossed the 11 Million Views mark and that continues to grow with all of the love and hype for LOST it's sixth and final season.

The views are total views for all sections of the site, so thanks to those that visit the LOST Spoilers, TV Spoilers, Heroes News and Spoilers and venture over to the SpoilerTV Movies page!

A little over 2 years ago if you would have asked me if my little blog would cross 10M views and steadily grow with so many followers joining daily, I would have said you are CRRRAAZY like me!

Hopefully, we can continue the growth and some of you will still stay after LOST and Heroes and if not, I really appreciate the loyal followers to this point!

At the beginning of this year we also started a Facebook Fan page that has now over 1,200 followers there!

One of the most common questions I get asked is when the F do you sleep? Well not as often as I would like is my answer.

Another common question I get from readers is how can we help??

Honestly the easiest way is to please support the site by spreading the good word via linking back to posts on our site (Re-Tweet and/or Share on Facebook) and support the other bloggers and friends that make up the ODI Team such as DarkUFO, b3rt4, Karen, Vozzek, Anna, Iceman and every elseone that has contributed to the team.

For those of you that want to do more to help here are a few more ways:

1) Please support our sponsors by checking out and perhaps buying their products.
2) We do have a donate button in the sidebar for those that want to help out with a little money towards hosting the images and videos we post.
3) Follow us on the following Social Media Sites:

Twitter | Facebook FanPage | Stumbleupon | YouTube

Thanks once again for being loyal fans and readers!

Wow we made it!!

Another hiatus ends tonight and before the season starts I want to thank my good friends DarkUFO and B3rt4 for keeping eye on the site when I sleep or am away, Karen and Vozzek for doing the weekly podcasts, all our our contacts and sources that provide us with scoops and EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU that visit the site on a regular basis!

With out all of you, the site would never be what it is today! I started off as just any other fan on the forums (over at MySpace) and I am just truly honored to be a part of this whole adventure and ride.

Let's make Season 6 the best ever!

We will have our weekly recap podcasts, Anna is back with her Weekly Recaps that will be here and on her site FourToedFoot.com, Vozzek will have his recaps at DarkUFO and of course Karen will have her weekly notes at her site Karen's LOST Notebook.

So with only one week to go until the Season 6 Premiere I want to celebrate Happy LOST week!!

I am going to do my best to have something fun and exciting on the site everday all week long leading up to the premiere!

There will be giveaways, new podcasts, fan polls, and much more!

If you are throwing a Season 6 Premiere please let us know in the comments what and how or if there is a big event you want to promote please let us know and we will post what you are doing!

Happy LOST Week!

UPDATE: With 900 Fans now following, the giveaway will begin soon! Thanks to all of you that are now following! :)

UPDATE: Already 4 new members so, only 33 more to go!

With the new Facebook fanpage nearing the special number of 815, I am planning a giveaway.

So help us get to 815 followers and the sooner we get there the sooner we will do the giveaway!

Right now we are at 778 so we just 37 people and we will start a giveaway. You can sign up by using the widget on the top right side of the sidebar of visit the following link to check out the fan page:

ORIGINAL POST:

We’ve packed the new ODI site with the capability to perform and cater for greater needs of the reader. See how below.

Neater Design
We’ve streamlined it all, it’s out with the clutter in with the clean, most of what you need appears in a toolbar at the bottom of your page which follows you around as you scroll or switch page.
The bar offers translation, recent posts, a search box, twitter posts, RSS and any notifications we feel you need to know. If you get bored or find it obtrusive, just press the arrows and it collapses out of the way.

Easier Sharing

Sharing has been made possible with several new features. The top left of this post has a tweet button, this means you can tweet the article from where you are and spread the spoilers on the web without moving a muscle; our footer now has an AddThis feature with 54 options, it’s a simple rollover and then choose your site!

Our sidebar is also new and improved, at the top you’ll see an option to visit the profiles of our twitter, Facebook, YouTube and RSS feeds, the links are available elsewhere but the sidebar is our personal “hub” where we’ll keep everything you want and need.

All the old features remain too, so don’t worry about the bookmark button or spoiler links as they’re here to stay.

Submit a Scoop

As an upgrade from email, we’ve got a button and form you can press to contact the ODI if you find a great spoiler, preview or other that you think we need to know.

If you use Spoiler Tv, it works exactly the same; just click the button “Submit a Scoop” at the top of every page and fill in the form…we just ask that if you have a Heroes spoiler, you submit it on the Heroes page and if your spoiler concerns Lost you submit it on the Lost page and so on.

New Commenting

The new site has a new commenting software which is easy to use, and has the ability to log on to profile and private message. You can also flag comments if you think there is something wrong with them and add images. Click the Follow button to receive information when a blogger replies to your post.

Please remember the site is in beta testing, and there may well be a few glitches- just message us if you have a problem. The Podcast and Funzone sections are also in construction, but will be coming soon.

Finally, enjoy the new site and explore for yourself! Tell us what you think below

Hey All,
Yes today is August 15th and many LOST fans across the world are celebrating it as 815 Day!!

So on this special day I would like to announce that Tuesday I will be taking one of my first extended vacations in a very long time!! This is my first real vacation since I have had this site running for over two years and luckily it will be to the beautiful island of Hawaii!! :)

So this coming Tuesday I head to Kona, Hawaii with my family and we will spend several days there and then on the 23rd I will take a flight sitting in seat 15F to Oahu!! Yes that is right LOST Isle!

This is my first trip to Hawaii and I am pretty excited to check out this beautiful place and of course then check out all of the LOST locations!

Filming for Season 6 of LOST is scheduled to start on the 24th and I am really hoping fate is in my favor and I will be able to see some filming taking place.

At times I feel this site can eat up too much of my time but I love doing it and I have met so many great friends among the LOST Community it is all worth it. Luckily I will be able to meet some of these friends including Ryan and his wife Jen from The Transmission podcast, Set Reporter Roxy, Jon Barrand a fan turned extra on LOST, Wendy aka Kanahina and many many others!!

I will have my laptop on my and will have my iPhone, so I should be able to post updates and pictures on the site and via my Twitter account. If you still have not signed up to Twitter then you need to, because you can get instant alerts for everything we post across the whole site.

Check out my Twitter account here: @TheODI

Regular LOST news might be a bit slower to post but I will have my good friends DarkUFO and Karen that will be keeping an eye on the site. We also have several members of Team ODI that will be keeping and eye on the Heroes section and big team keeping an eye on all the SpoilerTV pages as well.

So I hope you all have a Happy 815 Day and I can't wait to report back to all of you about any happenings next week on LOST Isle.

Namaste.

Hey All,
Just wanted to wish you all a safe and Happy 4th of July!!

We will still do our best to post any breaking news or spoilers that happen over the weekend.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!

Hey All,
With the TV off-season in full swing and the number of readers continuing to grow we have decided to take the little time available during the off season to update and change the site a bit.

We are currently in the process of creating a new more sleek design with better menus, features, and colors that should help improve the organization and look of the site.

Of course the site would not exist if you all out there were not reading it, so we want to get some feedback from all of you out there! The LOST and Heroes pages are the most popular parts of the site, but the new TV Spoilers page is growing steadily and covers several other popular shows. We will be improving the Chat Page and will also be adding a "Fun Zone" for fan fiction/art, polls, contests and more!!

Below is a poll asking what browser you use to view the site. With so many different options available we want to do our best that the new design will be ideal for our readers and the browsers they are using.

Also, here is a list of few questions asking about the site, your answers and feedback will be vital in helping to improve the site. Please do not waste our time with BS answers like your "Site Sucks!!". This is a free site and any little ad revenue we get is put right back into the site for hosting accounts. If you do not like the site and are not willing to be respectful and help then please do not visit.

If you would like to help out then please provide some feedback below, here are the questions:

1) What is the one thing about The ODI that keeps you coming back for more?
2) If you could change one thing about TheODI, what would it be?
3) What would you like to see more of from TheODI?
4) What would you like to see less of from TheODI?
5) Any other comments/suggestions.

Hey All,
One of the main reasons why I have my site is not only because I love doing this but also because of the discussions and theories all of you out there have.

All of the posts are for all of you out there, so please do not be shy and let your opinions be heard. Please leave comments about the post, discuss the topic or even leave feedback for me.

There is NO way for me to know what you guys like reading about unless there is some discussion or feedback. If you leave comments I will be able to see what you all enjoy and will be able to post accordingly, making it a better site for all!!

You do NOT have to sign up for any account and it does not cost to let your theories and opinions be heard. Also ANON users are now able to post or you can even just pick a name without signing up.

Please use the drop down menu in each comment form. Check out the screencap below.

Hey All,
Just posted the new LOST Season 5 banner which is a part of ABC's Online banner marketing using the Season 5 Promo Art.

Here is a Forum Signature size which you can use in your signatures over at the SpoilerTV Forums:

Hey All,
I just wanted to take this quick moment to wish all of you out there a Happy Thanksgiving!!

I really appreciate all you for visiting the site and for coming back each and everyday to check out the latest news and spoilers!!

This site is for all of you fans out there and without you this site would not be around. So thanks to all my friends in this wonderful online community!!

I will be vising with family for the holiday, but we will still be posting information all weekend long!!

Have a great day!!

Thanks for stopping by. Namaste.

Hey All,
I would like to say thank you to all of you that sent messages about the fires here in LA. Next, thanks to ALL of the brave firefighters, officers and anyone else that helped in attempting to control and stop the fire.

Yes, I did have to evacuate after thinking that we would not have to. At about 10:30PM Friday night I noticed a huge plume of smoke while walking my dog. Imagine the black smoke plume from LOST.

My initial reaction was WTF not again, this is the same area that had to evacuate 2-3 weeks ago. However, this time it seemed much closer. After going upstairs I realized how close, as I could see the flames from our windows!! After realizing the hire line was still several miles away we relaxed and about an hour later the sirens began and the mandatory evacuation was put into place.

My roommate and I knew that the fire was still quite far with our unique view. None of the other town homes in our neighborhood had this view. Most left in quite a panic and hurry, but since both of us have evacuated before in previous fires we knew what to do. We packed one bag each and my buddy grabbed his important insurance and house documents. We packed our cars around 12:30AM and began monitoring via our window and the TV. Of course the power would shut off and then come back. The next 3 hours we both kept guard and finally the fire seemed like it had reached the top of the mountain chain ridge we live next to. We watched and video taped some of the flames (I will upload the footage later). I would say within 15 minutes or so we knew we had to flee as the smoke was VERY thick and embers were flying close by.

We ran to our vehicles, and as we pulled out of the community, the flames were on the hill across the street from us!! It was wild! The wind was ferocious and the flames were flapping away!!

We were lucky, but did not realize HOW lucky until we returned home to see that the fire burned right by our backyard and even got to our front door!! Where our doormat was burnt!

Well that is the reason why you have not seen many posts on this site in the last 72 hours, but I am back and new posts will follow soon!!

Thanks for stopping by!

- The ODI

Hey Losties,
How are you all doing today!?

Well as most of you know by now, being a part of the LOST online world means you are a part of a community of fans and friends!! For me, being a part of this community has been a great experience and I have been able to forge some great friendships online. One of those friends, is fellow blogger and webmaster Andy aka DarkUFO.

Dark and I have become great friends and been working together to make sure that we bring you all the latest news and spoilers for LOST and Heroes, other Top Shows and Movies via our sites and SpoilerTV.

SpoilerTV has become the #1 website for TV Show spoilers!! Yes I know there are many of you out there that do not like spoilers, but love trying to stay up to speed with with your favorite celebrities and shows.

So in an effort to make the experience for you all even better, I just wanted to let you all know that this past weekend we launched a new SPOILER FREE section to SpoilerTV called "Celebrity Photos".

We've had a lot of feedback recently from people wanting to see more photos of their favorite TV and Movie stars etc but they didn't really fit in with any of our existing sections.

We were also getting increasing frustrated in how many other sites (JustJared, Popsuger, Splash etc) posted these photos with huge great watermarks across the photos which spoilt them for the fans.

As a result we have created Celebrity Photos where you will find the latest HQ images of Celebrities at Events, Openings, Photoshoots etc all with NO watermarks. You also have the ability to rate the photos which will help us in determining the types of photos we post in the future.

All you have to do is visit the page and use the drop down menu and select a star. We are slowly building the database, but we already have 1000s of HQ photos and you will be able to find images of your favorite celebs!!

To not miss the latest posts, you can subscribe to the RSS Feed here and follow us on Twitter here.

We hope you enjoy this new section and if you have any comments please feel free to email us.

As always thanks for stopping by and namaste.

I still can't get over this video...I am overwhelmed by ALL of the love from all of my fans and readers!!

I never knew you all loved me so much that you wanted me The ODI to run for President!!

I can't stop laughing at this so, enjoy and namaste.

Thanks to Lauren for the video.

**UPDATED** May15th 2PM PST: All has gone well and Dark has gone through several more phases to add members. It is getting close to 1K members, so if you want in we have several more exclusive spots open to us, so just email me.

Hey All,
As many of you know by now, my love for LOST has led to this site and without all of you and some of my key friends online, the tremendous growth would not be there. One of those very good friends is DarkUFO.

Dark has been a great friend and has been a strong supporter of The ODI since the start of the site at the beginning of this year. Of course most of you know me from my MySpace blog or from the MySpace and Lost-Forum forums, but this site has opened several new doors to growth and we are getting 1000s of views daily now on the front page and in the spoilers section. I really appreciate everyone that helped the site reach this point.

Now I know some of you fear the dreaded 8/9 month hiatus, but we were able to get through it last time and this time we are a little more prepared and have SEVERAL things planned for all of you...!! One of those "things" starts now....

Now on to the good news!! One thing I have always wanted to add to the site eventually was a forum, of course, a forum takes a tremendous amount of time and resources to run and moderate. Well, our good friend Dark has also wanted to add a forum to his site as well. Of course his site is much much bigger than mine and he has many more resources at his fingertips. So when he mentioned that he was in the process of starting DarkUFO/SpoilerTV forum, I was behind him 120%!!

Today, Dark is officially beginning Phase 1 of his new forum and it will be live and wide open to the public very soon (perhaps a week or two). Over the last month we have been beta-testing the forums and it looks great!!

However, in the meantime so that the start of the forum goes smoothly, Dark is allowing only 300 people in for Phase 1. I know many of you fear spoilers, but this is NOT just a spoilers forum, the forum has both a Spoiler-Free AND a Spoilers area and it will be for ALL shows, not just LOST. There is a movies area, a fan art section and an Off-Topic/BS area for those that just want to hang out and meet new people!! Plus much more!!

Well guess what!? The FIRST 50 ODI readers that email me will ALSO get exclusive access to the new forums!! That is right!! So if you want to join the forum now and want a chance to reserve your very own unique user name now, then email me at: mrtheodi@gmail.com

Like I said the first 50 get in now, so email me immediately and use the subject "DarkUFO/SpoilerTV Forum Access". These spots will be used up quick!!

If you miss out on phase 1, don't worry if all goes well, the forum will be opened up to everyone soon.

As always thanks for stopping by and namaste.
